Not professional advice. GarageBook does not provide mechanical, safety, or professional advice. Maintenance intervals, reminders, recall information, and economy figures are estimates and convenience features. Always follow your manufacturer's guidance and consult a qualified professional for service decisions. You are responsible for your vehicle's maintenance and safety.

Your account and data

Some features (cloud sync) require signing in with Apple or Google. You're responsible for maintaining access to your sign-in method. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, and for keeping your own backups of important records. We provide the Service "as is" and are not responsible for lost data.

Subscriptions and purchases

GarageBook offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription ("GarageBook Pro") available as monthly, yearly, or one-time lifetime purchases. Purchases are processed and billed by Apple or Google through your app-store account, subject to their terms.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we generally cannot issue store refunds directly.
• Prices may change; any change applies to future billing periods and will be disclosed as required by the app store.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: reverse-engineering it, disrupting or overloading our systems or our providers' APIs, attempting to access other users' data, or using it to violate any law.

Intellectual property

The GarageBook app, brand, and website are owned by us and protected by law. Vehicle manufacturer names and model names are used solely to identify vehicles (nominative use) and imply no affiliation or endorsement. You retain ownership of the content you create; you grant us the limited rights needed to store and sync it for you.

Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers (including Apple, Google, Supabase, RevenueCat, Geoapify/OpenStreetMap, and NHTSA data). Their content and availability are outside our control, and their terms apply to their portions of the Service.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any vehicle damage, missed maintenance, expense, or loss arising from your use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to comply with law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date.
