GarageBook ("GarageBook", "we", "us") is an auto-maintenance tracking app operated by DtimesTwo Technologies, LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@getgaragebook.com.
Information we collect
Data you create in the app
Vehicles, service records, reminders, fuel-ups, wear items, modifications, saved shops, parking locations, and photos you attach (vehicle photos and receipts). This is stored on your device. If you enable cloud sync (a Pro feature, and only while signed in), it is also stored in our cloud backend so it can sync to your other devices.
Account information
If you sign in to enable sync, we receive a basic identifier from your sign-in provider — your email address and, for Apple/Google Sign-In, an account identifier. There is no public sign-up; accounts exist only to enable sync.
Location
With your permission, GarageBook uses your device location only while the app is open (foreground only — we never request background location) to: find nearby repair shops and fuel/charging stations, and to save and navigate back to your parking spot. Your coordinates are sent to our maps data providers to return nearby results; we do not store a location history or use location to track you.
Purchases
In-app purchases (GarageBook Pro) are processed by Apple and Google. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements; we receive purchase status (whether Pro is active), not your payment card details.
Camera and photo library
With your permission, the app can use the camera and photo library so you can attach vehicle photos and receipts. These images are used only for that purpose.
How we use information
- To provide the app's core features — logging, reminders, stats, and search.
- To sync your data across your devices when you enable cloud sync.
- To operate in-app purchases and unlock Pro features.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
We do not sell personal data, share it with data brokers, or use it for advertising.

Data retention & deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you enabled sync, you can permanently delete your account and all cloud data from inside the app at any time — Settings → Delete account — or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your synced records and stored images from our backend; data still on your device is unaffected. See the Account & Data Deletion page for details.
Security
Cloud data is protected by row-level security so each account can access only its own records, and receipt/photo files are stored in a private, per-user location. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Children
GarageBook is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can export your data as CSV in the app, delete your account in the app, or contact us at support@getgaragebook.com.

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
